Below are links to the things that interest me. Feel free to contact me for more information about my hobbies/interests.

  • Ham Radio - There are many facets to the Ham Radio Hobby. Here are some related Web sites:
    • American Radio Relay League This is the major national Ham Radio Club
    • RARA The local Ham Radio Club (Rochester Hamfest, License Classes, Testing)
    • Dayton Hamvention The largest Ham Radio convention in the world (Mid May Annually)
    • QRZ.com General Ham Radio interest website with name and callsign lookup
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator - This is THE best game program for the PC.
    • Avsim - Organized for the promotion of the hobby. This volunteer group maintains a library of uploads of different aircraft, panels, and scenery. I attended the annual convention in Denver, Sept 2004
    • PMDG - Provider of great add on aircraft. I fly the Boeing 737-700 NG. It has advanced avionics, 3d Virtual Cockpit, and controls
  • Sailing and Whaling - Sailing season runs from the last weekend in April through the last weekend in October.
    • Canadaigua Yacht Club - We sail a Catalina 25 which is moored at the club. The club has a camping area, beach with picnic area and clubhouse with a restaurant and bar.
    • Boston Whaler Sport 15 - This skiff provides for water sports fun when wind conditions don't favor sailing
  • Bicycling - The area provides a variety of biking locations. The NYS Barge Canal and its recreation trail passes within 1/2 mile of my house and provides a good place to start for bike trips.
    • Trek 7500 - This hybrid bike provides good performance on the canal trail as well on the road.
    • Niagara Parks Recreation Trail - This trail runs right through the Niagara Falls tourist area. It is a really great day trip that is 2 hours away by car.
    • There is a bike path that follows Lake Ontario in Toronto. That is 3 hours away by car and even a better trip if the Ferry ever resumes service.
  • Photography - My most recent photography interest is in the digital area. I have a couple of cameras and try to post as many pictures as I can on my Photo Album.
    • Compupic Pro - This is the software that I use to process the digital images and build the HTML presentation pages for use on my server
    • Sony DSC-F828 - This camera has a bright flash and wide range lens system. I use this camera for the long haul work.
    • Canon Powershot S500 - This compact digital is really easy to carry around and have ready when a shot presents itself.
